To work around error 442, do the following steps: Step 1 Open "Network and Sharing Center". The user authetication is done by providing RSA SecureID token value. It works fine with Windows 8.1 and is still actively developed.

If that doesn't work, you might have UAC enabled. No official version was ever released for Windows 8. Worked perfectly.
